Click the link below to preview the Jux Blogging tool. A fantastic Web 2.0 tool to provide and adding engaging instructional content to the classroom. This Jux was created for the 3rd Grade Aquarium Habitats units taught in our county. The tool will be used as an anticipatory set allowing students to preview content prior to taught lessons. Having background schema of the content will encourage students to explore their aquarium habitats more closely looking for evidence of the variables that affect a habitat or ecosystem.

Hi Mike,
The presentation on Jux was very informative. ONe thing I want to confirm is that users can only have one Jux at a time? Is that because it is a free account? Are there upgraded accounts that are unlimited? I used VoiceThread and a free account allows for 5 slideshows, but once those 5 are completed, you can not delete, share, or embed them anywhere. VoiceThread really tried to get users to upgrade! Is Jux similar? I like the visual aspect of the site, it’s very professional looking.
One suggestion which I had just thought of while watching the screencast is that you could pause the screencast while your internet is loading. Then there would not be so much wait time. Just restart the recording when it is loaded. If I could of thought of that yesterday, my screencast would have been so must better…Ahhh hindsight! Also, you may want to set your screencast to allow comments because I wanted to add a post to that page, but I cold not. I’ll have to ake sure my screencast allows comments too!
